Healthy Nutella

Sugar & Dairy Free Nutella!

I know, you may be thinking it's too good to be true. I absolutely loved nutella, and then I found out all the negative effects of sugar. I had to create a healthy alternative, so into the Soul Garden Space Kitchen Lab I went, and magic!

The best part is this recipe is full of hazelnuts which are rich in dietary fiber and folate. They also contain the essential fatty acid linoleic acid which helps lower LDL or bad cholesterol and increase HDL or  good cholesterol. They are also a rich source of vitamin E, vitamin B-6, and minerals like magnesium, zinc, potassium, and iron.

You're gonna love this! We couldn't put our spoons down.
 <3 Jenn

Healthy Nutella

  • 2 cups Raw Hazelnuts
  • 1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1/4 cup Xylitol or Maple Syrup
  • For extra sweetness I use 4-6 drop of Liquid Stevia (Hazelnut Flavor optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Hazelnut Milk (or Almond, Hemp etc.)
Roast hazelnuts at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or so until the peel on the nuts loosens. Then you can grab a cloth and rub the hazelnuts in a bowl until you get as many of the peels off as possible. Blend until it becomes a creamy nut butter. Here's where a Vita-mix or a food processor comes in handy.  Then add all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Isagaya What you ask?

Isagaya is the combination of two words from the Philippine Tagalog language, "ISA" meaning "One" and "GAYA" meaning "Reflecting". Getting in touch with your own body and searching within is key to Isagaya Flow. Isagaya Flow Technique was created by Jenn Tamera. She has incorporated her joy of movement and knowledge of the body to bring this unique style to you. Here she shares more about how to use energywork with your practice, and come into the space of your heart.

Aka Dua Playshop "Shining our Sunlight"

Today felt like record breaking heat. While many people were staying indoors to avoid this heatwave, Soul Garden Space opened it's doors with the intention of providing a space for everyone to shine their light. Today's playshop was an introduction to Aka Dua, which is Egyptian for "inner most light". It is a refined solar energetic substance that is here to assist us in healing and shining our light. Those in attendance learned a brief history about Aka Dua, as well as some of it's benefits & uses. The Level 1 participants shared their experience with Aka Dua, and had an opportunity to play with the energy even further, and then were able to receive their Level 2 Attunement. Aka Dua's roots can be traced back to Atlantis, Egyptian rituals, and to the Toltec king Ce Acatl Quetzalcoatl. Aka Dua's many uses include enhancing: healing, playing music, yoga, reciting mantras, and bringing objects (like crystals) to life. If you came to the playshop, please share your experiences here. Or if you've had an Aka Dua activation, please share what's opened up for you since you've received it.
